Explore how energy can be transferred between different stores. After introducing 5 stores of energy, students are given a challenge prompt to investigate the energy transfers involved in different machines.
Use the skate park simulation to facilitate a discussion about conservation of energy. Contains questions to ask the class when using the simulation, and slides to consolidate learning.
Using a worksheet, students investigate the transfer between kinetic and potential energy, as well as how friction affects this. Students then look at factors that influence rollercoaster design.
